We met at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church.
I became a member of the Pilgrim Rest Church when I was a young girl,
I left for many years and I reunited with Pilgrim Rest in 2001.
Rev. Joseph Anderson came and joined Pilgrim Rest in 2005, as one
of the associate ministers.
It all started September 24, 2006 after morning worship, I went to the choir
room to hang up my robe and Rev.Anderson was passing the room
and I said" Rev. Anderson, and I went back into the room.
(thinking to myself what I'm I going to say to him?)
So I decided to make a run for it. (smile)
Little did I know he was still right outside the door, My dad had stopped
him to get his phone number so he could take him out to lunch.
Now, I come out the room to make my get away and there he was talking with my dad,
and he said sister Patrice. I stopped and my dad was asking for his number, and
he said I need to go my vehicle to get it, I have a new number.
My dad said give it to my wife, she's in the parking lot, I said or your daughter. (smile)
My dad said yeah give it to my daughter. We go get the number and he was not sure how to get his number, so I took his phone and dialed my number to get his number
and told him to save mine, I will save his for my dad. He sent me the first text. (smile)
We went on our first date September 29, 2006. We will be married June 30th, 2007.
God has brought us here together to be united in his love joined in holy matrimony
with FAITH in GOD above.

Patrice & Joseph will exchange vows on Saturday June 30th, 2007. Ceremony will be held at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Chuch located at 659 16th, street Oakland Ca.
